FUSED FILAMENT FABRICATION (FFF/FDM)
FFF (also known as FDM) is a filament-based additive technology where a heated head extrudes a thermoplastic material layer by layer onto a build plate. The nozzle head heats the material and turns the flow on and off. Typically stepper motors or servo motors are used to move the extrusion head and adjust the flow. The printer usually has 3 axes of motion.
